BTS Earns First Platinum For Japanese Single 'Blood Sweat & Tears'
BTS has won the hearts of millions and earned the respect of fellow artists all over the world. The group that is also popularly known as Bangtan Boys, continues to celebrate various milestones in their career. The said group has just won their first platinum for their Japanese song.
It has just been revealed that the Japanese version of their song “Blood, Sweat & Tears”, which was just released in May 2017, has gained the platinum certification. The Recording Industry Association of Japan awarded them the platinum after the said song reached 250,000 sales. Platinum is the second highest threshold in Japan's music certification awards.
BTS made their debut in June 2013 but it was not until the next year that they finally entered the Japanese music industry. They debuted in the land of the rising sun with their first Japanese single, which was their version of “No More Dream”. The released their first Japanese studio album, “Wake Up” in December 2014. BTS is also hugely popular in Japan that they have allotted 14 shows alone in that country.
Since then, the group has taken part in several concerts and promotions in various parts of the world. BTS continues to show the world their unparalleled talent in dancing and singing. The boys gained more recognition after showing up at the recent Billboard Music Awards and even went home with the Top Social Artist award. BTS caught the attention of international artists for this particular award because superstar Justin Bieber had won the said title for seven consecutive years until BTS nabbed it this year.
BTS is currently gearing up for their comeback and Big Hit Entertainment has yet to announce the official date and other details. They have also launched a new cosmetics line that will be out in the market starting this month.
