Long-time players of Niantic's "Pokemon GO" have hailed it as the biggest update to date. The award-winning developer has finally revealed the contents of the looming gym update and fans from all over are so hyped about it.

"Pokemon GO" faithfuls are well-acquainted by now about the upcoming gym tweak, though it was not revealed what the contents would be. However, Niantic does not want to keep its player base musing for so long as they finally spilled the looming update's contents on their website.

As per Niantic's new bulletin, "Pokemon GO" gyms will be showcasing "six permanent slots" where Pokemon can be designated provided that none of them are the same. Moreover, just like in PokeStops, updated gyms can be spun to obtain items and other rare stuff as well.

More coins can be accumulated in "Pokemon GO" as long as the designated Pokemon remain longer on that gym. The accrued coins will then be collected by trainers once their monsters got beaten or demotivated. Speaking of such, a Pokemon's motivation level will soon be measured as it will be seen through a heart icon on top of the critter. To keep it full, trainers will have to feed their monsters with berries. Otherwise, it will come running back to its master once defeated.

"Pokemon GO" gym badges can soon be acquired by trainers through gym interaction. Additionally, these badges can be leveled up by feeding berries to Pokemon within that gym, through battles, or by simply spinning the gym's photo disc.

Furthermore, it was also confirmed that "Pokemon GO" will be having a co-op gameplay just like the one hinted on the mobile game's announcement trailer about a year ago. It will arrive in the form of a raid battle where a huge egg with a timer can be seen on top of a gym. Once the timer reaches zero, the raid boss will be revealed and players will have to defeat it in a span of five minutes. Nevertheless, it was not disclosed if the so-called raid bosses would include legendaries.

Meanwhile, tickets for the "Pokemon GO Fest" event in Chicago was a quick sellout. This goes to show that the AR title is still raking in fans as the game is prepping up for its first anniversary, according to Forbes. Check out a video about the game here:
