Eddie Murphy’s New Baby Is The Actor’s 9th; Girfriend Paige Butcher To Give Birth In May 2016
According to a source close to Eddie Murphy, new baby number nine is on its way, as reported by Dailymail UK. The comedian and his Australian girlfriend, Paige Butcher, are expecting the new bundle of joy to arrive sometime in May, 2016.
Murphy is already a father of eight: five with ex-wife Nicole Murphy, and one each for his ex-girlfriends Paulette Mcneely, Tamara Hood, and Spice Girls member, Mel B. A source close to the comedian told Daily Mail that Murphy couldn't be happier, and that he is a family who "loves all of his children, so he's so excited about having another one on the way."
Murphy and Butcher have been dating for more than four years, and have remained mum about their relationship all throughout, according to US Magazine. The model briefly hinted of their relationship back in 2013, but spilled no further details.
Butcher also revealed in a Vanity Fair interview that she chose to get rid of her social media accounts once she started dating Murphy. Butcher said she did not like "giving people too much access," and that dating a celebrity is already enough of an exposure.
That mindset changed when she got pregnant, a first for Butcher, and ninth for Murphy. Murphy's representative told E! News that the couple is "pleased to announce that they are expecting a child in May." They also stepped out and were seen in public together when the comedian received the "Mark Twain Prize for American Humor" award, shortly after Eddie Murphy's new baby was confirmed.
Butcher, a model by profession, has also played minor roles in comedy films like "Big Momma's House 2" and "Something's Gotta Give." But in her Vanity Fair interview, Butcher stated that she's not interested in getting further into acting. She's more into charitable activities, saying "I've always wanted to do charity stuff," volunteering at homeless shelters, and helping out with other non-profit organizations.
