‘Quantico’ Star Priyanka Chopra Is No. 1 On Top Actors Chart
Priyanka Chopra from "Quantico" has dethroned Dwayne Johnson from The Hollywood Reporter's Top Actors Chart. The Top Actors Chart is a ranking of the most popular actors on various social networking platforms including Google Plus, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter. The data is provided by a company named MVPindex.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the number one spot is taken by Priyanka Chopra, her Baywatch-costar Dwayne Johnson sits at number two. Comedian Kevin Hart has made a mighty jump from number nine to number three. "Wonder Woman" star Gal Gadot is placed at number four. Cara Delevingne is at number five while actor Vin Diesel is at number six. Singer Jennifer Lopez is at number six and "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson is at the number eight spot, Zac Efron dropped from number three to number nine and Shay Mitchell is the number ten spot.
Meanwhile, "Quantico" is renewed for its third season, but cast member Yasmine Al Massri - who plays twins Nimah and Raina has quit the show. Massri took to Instagram to share the news.
Earlier, former showrunner Josh Safran parted ways with the show. He spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about why he quit the show.
"My deal on the show was two years only and it's up. I will not be involved in the day-to-day [anymore]. I need to take some time and develop some other stuff, and I'm leaving the show in a good place and capable hands. I'll be watching over its shoulder, but this is the end of the road for me in a full capacity," Safran said.
He also spoke about what he expects from the new showrunner. "All I hope that happens for the future of the show is that it remains a show that is inclusive, that is feminist, that is political and that is also entertaining. That is all I care about. I hope there is never a Muslim terrorist on the show. I hope that the women stay at the forefront of the show because it is their story. I hope that whoever takes it from here, I'll be watching over it. But I'm hoping those benchmarks are the most important."
