'Final Fantasy XV' News, Updates: Off-Roading With The Regalia; 'Episode Prompto' Hints Of A New Battle System

Square Enix has recently announced their future plans with their current "Final Fantasy" installment - "Final Fantasy XV." Future updates of the game will give players the chance to ride Noctis' Regalia off-road style.

It was revealed that aside from the Regalia's flying form (Type-F), the versatile ride will be endowed with monster wheels letting it graze through dirt and rocks. Moreover, it was also mentioned that the next "Final Fantasy XV" patch will let the lengthy car - that will then be dubbed the Regalia Type-D - jump just like the ones in Monster Jam, according to Siliconera.

Such update will make traveling within "Final Fantasy XV" like breeze now that the Regalia can traverse other than the paved road. Sure, it's Type-F has let players glide through the skies. Nonetheless, one false move and Noctis' crew will be toast.

Alongside the Regalia's new form, another thing to look out for in "Final Fantasy XV" is another update dubbed "Episode Prompto." As the title suggests, the downloadable content will let fans take control of one of Noctis' pals - Prompto. Additionally, the upcoming content is said to drop stashes at Prompto's disposal including the character's origins, Comicbook reported.

Reports suggest that "Final Fantasy XV's" "Episode Prompto" will kickoff when the character falls off from the train as it said it will usher in a brand new story arc. Also, Game Design Section Manager Kenichi Shida has hinted that aside from Prompto's new items, the forthcoming DLC will also bring in a whole new battle system that is said to be different from what players have experienced with "Episode Gladiolus."
