Super Junior Heechul Shares He Tried To Run Away From SM Entertainment Once

Super Junior is one of the first idol groups that SM Entertainment debuted and they have been a force to reckon since then. However, with a group originally composed of thirteen members, it’s hard to keep up with their training and individual actions. Member Kim Heechul shared one difficult instance as a trainee under the big shot agency.

In a recording with Channel A’s program, “Cinderella”, Heechul shared how it was being an idol. The Super Junior member then confessed that he actually ran away from SM Entertainment when he was still a young trainee. At the age of 15, Heechul was already hard at training to be the lead vocalist of TRAX, a rock band that SM Entertainment launched in 2004.

However, Heechul revealed that he had frequent arguments with personnel and authorities from SM Entertainment. He pointed out that they always had different opinions especially when comes to making music. Heechul further revealed that because of this, he gave up on his training, ran away from the agency, and went home to Gangwon Province.

Heechul only decided to come back when TRAX members Jungmo and Jay, TVXQ member Yunho, and Super Junior member Donghae convinced him to return. The five of them were still trainees at that time and have yet to debut with an act. Fans who have followed Super Junior since their debut would know how much of a rebel Heechul was before and he was always open to his ideas, earning the respect of many fellow artists.

Super Junior made its debut in 2005 and throughout the years, the group has suffered scandals and the loss of members who have decided to pursue separate careers. Super Junior just announced that they are currently preparing for a comeback. However, the group is placed in a difficult position when their fans cried out for the removal of Sungmin, who reportedly mistreated fans since he got married.
