‘Ruler: Master Of The Mask’ Reigns Over ‘Suspicious Partner,’ ‘Queen For Seven Days’ In Mid-Week Ratings Race
MBC's historical series "Ruler: Master of the Mask" continues to register steady TV ratings with viewership shares posting double digit numbers. The Kim So Hyun and Yoo Seung Ho starrer even bested the romantic comedy suspense drama "Suspicious Partner," as well as the KBS series "Queen for Seven Days."
"Ruler: Master of the Mask" retained its lead among competitor Wednesday-Thursday dramas for the fifth consecutive week. Aired on June 8, Thursday, the MBC series' episodes 19 and 20 reached nationwide viewership shares of 11.2 percent and 12.2 percent, respectively. In the Seoul metropolitan area, Episode 19 posted ratings of 11.2 percent and 12.1 percent, according to Nielsen Korea, as cited by Yonhap News.
TV ratings for Kim So Hyun and Yoo Seung Ho's drama have been hovering between the range of 10 percent to 12 percent. With the MBC series' lead characters caught in a love triangle amidst an impending rebellion, "Ruler: Master of the Mask" is expected to hit viewership shares of up to 15 percent.
Meanwhile, following behind "Ruler: Master of the Mask" is the SBS series "Suspicious Partner" that nabbed the second spot on the mid-week rating race. Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun's drama registered steady TV ratings with episode 15 at 8 percent and episode 16 at 9.6 percent. At third place is the KBS historical drama "Queen for Seven Days" with its fourth episode reaching viewership shares of 6.5 percent.
In other news, "Ruler: Master of the Mask" also landed a spot on Drama Fever's weekly Top 10 Asian series chart. The MBC drama came in at number three, while its competitor series "Suspicious Partner" at number one and the recently concluded drama "My Secret Romance" at number two, according to a chart listing on the Warner Bros. owned video streaming site.
