Super Junior Comeback

Members of ELF (Everlasting Friends), Super Junior's official fandom, from all around the world are celebrating the announcement of the K-pop group's comeback later this year. However, some fans expressed opposition to the inclusion of Sungmin to much awaited return.

It has previously been reported by Korea Portal that Super Junior will be staging their much awaited comeback later this year after three of their members are discharged from military service.  Unfortunately, two of its youngest members Ryeowook and Kyuhyun will be unable to join the reunion  because they are still serving mandatory enlistment.

According to the report, Eunhyuk, who served his enlistment as a member of the military band unit will be discharged from service on July 12. Donghae who enlisted shortly after Eunhyuk, will be disrcharged several days after on July 14 after serving two years as a conscripted policeman. They will wait for another month after Siwon is discharged from his mandatory service on August 18.

Members of Super Junior have already teased their comeback last month when they launched their official Instagram account which will be updating their fans about individual and group activities. The first post on the account showed Super Junior members, including those who are still enlisted, sporting their signature hand gesture and showing big smiles on their faces, which further fueled excitement about the comeback.

Ryeowook  has still a year left in service while Kyuhyun just enlisted last May, being the youngest member. While many fans are happy for the return of their beloved K-pop group, some netizens want Sungmin to be excluded in the comeback project.

Many fans have still not forgiven Sungmin for getting married to actress Kim Sa Eun in 2014 at the height of their preparations for "Super Show" in Japan, causing him to neglect his obligations to the group. They have also still not forgotten Sungmin's insistence to go public about their relationship despite its cost to the image of Super Junior at the time, All Kpop reported.
