2011 Pentaport Rock Festival - Day 1

Former Miss A member Jia seems to have opened up about the struggles she has had to face during the time she was a part of the group and what happened after she left the group.

According to a report published by Allkpop, Jia in an interview with a Taiwanese media outlet revealed her experience working with JYP Entertainment when she was a member of the Miss A group. She was reported to be saying that her knees aged quickly due to the fact that she was constantly made to carry out her dance recitals. She added that she had been made to dance rigorously since she started training in 2006. She said that after a point of time, she started becoming concerned about her career as and when her training period started prolonging for longer.

It was after four whole years that she was given the opportunity to make her debut, i.e. in 2010. She debuted through the girl group, Miss A in 2010 and while she gained a lot of positive reviews for her performance, she was most of the times scolded by J.Y. Park. She used to call her former fellow member, Fei and cry out of frustration and anger. She would often feel the want to quit her career altogether. She added by saying that if it weren't for Fei's warm encouragement and advice that she would have ended up making the wrong decisions.

She reportedly said that it was only Fei's advice that helped her stay together and that she still thinks that Fei is her best friend and would talk to her frequently.

It was only last year that she decided to ditch the contract with JYP Entertainment and decided to pursue her dreams of launching herself as a single singer. Since then, the singer has been really busy and is in a better space than before.
