'My Love From The Star' Kim Soo Hyun Returns With New Movie; Reveals Challenges Of His Role In 'Real'
After being out of the limelight for a couple of years, Kim Soo Hyun returns with the premiere of his new film, “Real”. The said movie has been slated to release later this month. The young actor has revealed the challenges in portraying his role.
Kim Soo Hyun landed the lead role as Jang Tae Yeong in the new Korean film, “Real”. Kim Soo Hyun is joined by veteran actors Sung Dong Il and Lee Sung Min in portraying the principal characters of the movie. “Real” is an action thriller film about a troubleshooter named Jang Tae Yeong who deals with the various requests and problems from the underworld. His world takes a different turn when he runs into a former detective reporter named No Yeom, who is portrayed by actor Lee Gyung Young.
Kim Soo Hyun recently sat down for an interview with “Entertainment Weekly” to talk about "Real". Aside from promoting his up and coming film, the “My Love From The Star” actor also shared how it was to play his noir role. Kim Soo Hyun, who is well known to be a versatile actor, admitted that his new role in the movie was challenging.
In the said interview, Kim Soo Hyun revealed that he had to focus on the audio as well as his expressions that are seen through his eyes. He said that he honestly had a hard time playing two characters because he found it difficult to differentiate and separate the two roles. He added that the two roles cannot be noticed at first but throughout the movie and perhaps after several times of watching it, the differences will become apparent.
Kim Soo Hyun started his career in the entertainment industry in 2007 and spurted to fame after landing the main roles for “Dream High”, “Moon Embracing The Sun”, and “My Love From Another Star”. The last television series he starred in was “The Producers”, which was aired in 2015. “Real” will be his latest movie since starring in the popular action movie, “Secretly, Greatly” in 2013.
