Pro-Gamer Omae Kim Finds Dead Body By Accident During Livestream
AfreecaTV BJ (short for broadcast jockey) Omae Kim, who is a popular pro-gamer and live streamer, found a dead body during one of his live streams on May 31 at approximately 3:15 am. The gamer was doing his usual live stream broadcast as he was walking along the Dadaepo Beach Station in Busan with his friends when he noticed a large object floating nearby on the shore. That large object turned out to be a dead body.
The pro-gamer initially thought the floating object was a mannequin and even decided to approach it. However, upon inspecting it up close, Omae Kim and his friends were shocked to discover that it was, in fact, a dead body of a man. In the live stream video, the gamer could be seen immediately running away scared as soon as they confirmed it was a dead body. During the broadcast, Omae Kim is heard saying, "I am so scared right now. I will call emergency here on the spot. It can't be a mannequin, right? I got chills running down my spine." There were about 100 viewers who watched the broadcast live but thought it was an elaborate prank pulled by the pro-gamer, suspecting that they had used a mannequin as a prop.
Naysayers and doubters were immediately shut down when Omae Kim called the police. The live stream continued broadcasting even until police arrived when Omae promptly ended the broadcast. Police reports state that the body was identified as Mr. Seo, who is said to be only 24 years old. They further stated that the body had not begun decomposing yet, which meant he had died just recently before being discovered. The man also still had clothes on, according to the police. Because the police haven't found a will under his name yet, they are pushing through with the investigation to look for the cause of death.
