Google launched its Pixel smartphone sometime last year, taking the market by a storm. The firm is reportedly working on its successor, which it plans on launching by the end of this. This year is especially eventful as many other technology giants such as OnePlus, Apple and Samsung are also in the process of making their flagships the best of them lot. The question is what will happen when these flagship smartphones come face-to-face? Let's find out.

Google Pixel 2: According to a report published by PC Advisor, the Google Pixel 2 which is rumored to launch in October this year, is expected to be priced higher in terms of its predecessor and will sport an OLED display. Additionally, the smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, meanwhile also offering 4GB of RAM and will be shipped with Android 8.0. These are the primary highlights of the smartphone.

Nokia 9: The Nokia 9 on the other hand, is reported by BGR to be carrying a 22MP rear camera along with a 12MP front snapper. Moreover, the device comes with a 3,800mAh battery with support for a quick charge along with Zeiss optics, 360-degree audio and an iris scanner option.

OnePlus 5: Another post by Expert Reviews claims that OnePlus is expected to launch its OnePlus 5 smartphone anytime soon now. The device is expected to feature a 5.5-inch dual-curved display with Qualcomm Snapdragon 835, 8GB of RAM, a 3,000mAh battery and a fingerprint sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S8: The Samsung Galaxy S8 on the other hand, which was launched earlier this year is expected to pack a 5.8-inch QHD display, 12MP rear camera and 8MP front snapper along with Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Apple iPhone 8: Apple is especially looked forward to as the device is speculated to pack a 5.8-inch edge-to-edge display with Apple's A11 processor and a special camera. All of these smartphones will be priced higher than usual but are expected to cause a ruckus when coming face-to-face with each other.
