‘My Secret Romance’ Ends Broadcast As Drama Fever’s Most Popular Series; ‘Suspicious Partner’ Surges Up
"My Secret Romance" retained it reign on Drama Fever's hit Asian series chart for the fifth consecutive week. Meanwhile, the romantic comedy suspense series "Suspicious Partner" made an impressive jump to land on the said chart's top 2.
The OCN romantic drama that featured the first onscreen pairing of Sung Hoon and Secret's Song Ji Eun recently ended its 13-episode run on OCN at the top of Drama Fever's weekly popular Asian series list. "My Secret Romance" nabbed the first spot on the said chart's May 31 week period, according to a list posted on the Warner Bros. owned video streaming site.
Following "My Secret Romance" is the SBS drama "Suspicious Partner" that rose seven places up to land at number two. The Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun starrer were previously at the bottom half of Drama Fever's weekly popular Asian series at ninth place. Coming in at number three is the MBC historical series "Ruler: Master of the Mask," while "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" and the SBS variety show "Running Man" occupied the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
Apart from "My Secret Romance" and "Suspicious Partner," other dramas that made it to the said list included "Goblin." Gong Yoo's fantasy series landed at sixth place followed by the recently concluded drama "Queen of Mystery" and "Tunnel." At ninth place is "Lookout," while the Chinese series "Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms" nabbed the tenth spot on Drama Fever's weekly list.
At this time, it is still unclear if "My Secret Romance" will be able to retain its first-place ranking on the said streaming site's weekly popular Asian series chart. Earlier concluded dramas such as "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" remained at the top of the said chart several weeks after it aired its finale episode.
In other news, "My Secret Romance" marked the first production that Drama Fever co-produced. Sung Hoon and Song Ji Eun's drama also served as the first time that the said Warner Bros. owned site simultaneously released episodes in the U.S. in time with the said OCN series' overseas broadcasts, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
