‘Descendants of the Sun’ Season 2 Confirmed: A Complete Cast, Plot And Release Date Update

Several reports in the recent post are now indicating that "Descendants of the Sun" is set to make a comeback on the small screen. The show has apparently been renewed for a second season and if the rumors are to be believed then the lead-pair Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo might not be a part of it.

According to a report published by IBTimes, NEW representative recently seems to have confirmed that "Descendants of the Sun" Season 2 pre-production works has already begun. The representative further went on to suggest that the show is being prepared for a 2017 launch itself. Moreover, it is further confirmed that the name of the show will remain the same. Besides this, no other information has been provided by the representative as yet.

As pointed by Kpopstarz, there are several rumors taking the round that suggest that the lead pair and actors Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo won't be a part of "Descendants of the Sun"  Season 2. The chemistry that is portrayed by the two is loved by the majority of its fans. While the official reason for this demise has not been released yet; it is widely speculated that the two actors don't have the right dates free for the filming of the show.

According to another online report, Song Joong Ki is also planning on taking a break from his professional work life. He is planning on taking a vacation with his closed ones. Song Hye Kyo, on the other hand, hasn't signed any new acting projects; however, she is busy working on endorsing several brands.
