‘The Sims 4’ Update: Latest ‘Parenthood’ Teaser Unveils Interesting Character Values, New Traits
Game developer Maxis recently unveiled some interesting details about the upcoming "The Sims 4: Parenthood" DLC. With five new Character Values, avid fans of "The Sims 4" will soon be able to better influence the development of young Sims as they become young adult Sims.
"The Sims 4" gamers have already enjoyed the addition of several characters to the popular life simulation game such as Vampire Sims and toddler Sims. In the upcoming "The Sims 4: Parenthood" game pack, players can soon have their parent Sim characters learn the new parenting skill, while toddler to teen Sims will gain five new Character Values and several new traits.
In the latest gameplay trailer for "The Sims 4: Parenthood," as posted on the fansite Sims Community, the clip showed how developing positive or negative Character Values can influence the type of traits that young Sims can get when they become young adults. Learning positive behaviors can lead to Sims getting the Responsible trait or become more Compassionate Sims, while negative actions will turn young Sims into Bad-Mannered characters.
Meanwhile, toddler to teen Sims will get a new Character Trait Values panel in the upcoming "The Sims 4: Parenthood" DLC. Avid "The Sims 4" fans will have an additional metric to look after where the said Sim characters can learn both the positive and negative sides of five new Character Values, according to an announcement posted on the game's website.
"The Sims 4" gamers whose baby Sims will age up to toddler Sims can start to gain points that will contribute to the Character Values, namely Conflict Resolution, Empathy, Emotional Control, Manners, and Responsibility. Depending on the percentage of negative or percentage points earned for each of the new "The Sims 4: Parenthood" values, a Sim could automatically get specific traits. New interactions and perks will also be unlocked following the development of Character Values and traits.
