Joo Won To Go On A Two Year Long Military Service This Month
At the beginning of 2017, there were widespread rumors regarding actor Joo Won's plans to enlist himself for the military service starting May. Later, as time passed by, the rumors turned out to be true too, as Joo Won's agency Huayi Brothers confirmed the news of the actor having to enlist himself in the military service this month.
According to a report published by KPopstarz, the actor's representatives were heard saying that Joo Won will be beginning his active military duty, starting May 16th and that they have already received the confirmation letter regarding the same.
It is interesting to note how, as reported by Koreaboo, Huayi Brothers initially denied reports of Joo Won of enlisting for the military service. Before the confirmation news broke out, the agency maintained that they hadn't received any letters suggesting the same yet. Nonetheless, Joo Won later acknowledged the fact that he was returning to active duty military service on May 16th.
To recall, as reported by All Kpop, Joo Won was recently spotted visiting "Joo Won Forest," planted by his fans as their way of celebrating the completion of 6 years in the industry since his debut. At the occasion, he was heard expressing how grateful he was and said that he doesn't know when he will be meeting them again. He even went to confirm that he will be going to the army, where all men born in South Korea must go.
The actor is apparently going for a 2-years-long military service. Joo Won has already done filming for his SBS' drama called "My Sassy Girl." The actor is said to attend the press conference held for this special occasion before he leaves for his military service.
