‘Running Man’ Cast Lee Kwang Soo To Appear In ‘2 Days 1 Night’ Star Cha Tae Hyun’s Drama
Two cast members from the SBS variety show "Running Man" and the travel variety program "2 Days 1 Night" will soon appear in the same drama. Lee Kwang Soo is set to portray a special role in Cha Tae Hyun's upcoming series titled "Greatest One-Shot."
Lee Kwang Soo and Cha Tae Hyun are known be close pals and belong to a famous group of celebrity friends that includes Kim Jong Kook, Song Joong Ki, Jo In Sung and more. Given their friendship, avid viewers of the two variety programs "Running Man" and "2 Days 1 Night" have already seen episodes where the said friends would contact each other through the phone to ask for help.
It appears that Cha Tae Hyun recently reached out to Lee Kwang Soo to enlist his assistance for the "2 Days 1 Night" star's upcoming KBS drama "Greatest One-Shot." The "Running Man" cast member agreed to make a cameo appearance in the said series, Soompi reported.
Lee Kwang Soo will portray Woo Seung's (Lee Se Young) boyfriend named Yoon Gi. Avid fans of the "Running Man" star can expect to see the actor in fun and interesting scenes to depict some of the various relationship challenges and happy moments that the characters Yoon Gi and Woo Seung will experience in "Greatest One-Shot."
Meanwhile, the upcoming KBS drama will tell the story of several young men and women as they encounter love and personal hardships. "Greatest One-Shot" will also mark Cha Tae Hyun's directorial debut. Apart from the special appearance of the "Running Man" star Lee Kwang Soo, viewers can look forward to seeing Yoon Son Ha, Le Se Young, Yoon Shi Yoon, Kim Min Jae, including the said "2 Days 1 Night" star's acting prowess in the said series.
In other news, Lee Kwang Soo and some of his fellow "Running Man" castmates recently embarked on another global mission. The SBS program's cast members were split into two teams with one group set to complete a new challenge in Russia, while the other headed to Mongolia, Korean news outlet Xports News reported.
"Running Man" and "2 Days 1 Night" episodes are released every Sunday on SBS and KBS, respectively. Cha Tae Hyun's upcoming drama "Greatest One-Shot" is slated to premiere on June 2. Watch the teaser clip below:
