The gameplay could be extremely different as Game Freak wanted to implement new technology with a new experience to the players.

The developers are also searching for talented game designers and character creator. Previously, "Pokemon Stars" is even rumored to launch for 3DS, but the Nintendo Switch fans are eagerly waiting for a Pokemon game for their hybrid console. And it is possible that Nintendo will launch the game for Nintendo Switch players with a completely different gameplay, character, and Pokemon. Besides, the chances that the company might launch two different games for two different gaming consoles namely 3DS and Switch.
The CEO of Pokemon Company has confessed that it is going to be difficult to build a Pokémon game for a hybrid gaming console like Nintendo Switch. So, the company might want to change the concept or gameplay to make it easy for the Switch players to play their favorite game on their favorite gaming console. Developing "Pokemon Stars" for a hybrid console which can be switched from big to small screens will be going to be difficult for the developers.
"Pokemon Stars" can also fulfill the expectation of Switch users with a gaming concept as innovative as the gaming console. The developers might combine the augmented reality like "Pokemon Go" in order to provide more realistic experience to Switch as well as Pokemon Lovers.
