THE PLAYERS Championship - Final Round

The 2017 Players championship results in the domination of South Korean golfer Si Woo Kim as he beats highly-touted British professional Ian Poulter to become tournament winner. At just 21 years old, Si Woo Kim became the youngest player to win the prestigious PGA Tour event.

According to MailOnline, the South Korean golfer scored first place with a 10-under par, while Ian Poulter is tied with South Africa's Louis Oosthuizen for second place getting 7-under par. Despite not getting the first place, UK's Ian Poulter exclaimed that "it feels great to be back" following his performance which nabbed his second place at the 2017 Players Championship results.

Poulter felt satisfied after rebounding from what he calls as "one of the worse shots you'll ever see" with one of his best shots. The well-established British golfer still earned a $900,000 cheque for his efforts, but all eyes are going to be on the South Korean winner Si Woo Kim.

It's also worth mentioning that every golfer who participated in the recent tournament got least two bogeys, while Kim didn't get any bogeys at all. Other than winning the 2017 Players Championship results, there are other interesting tidbits about the uprising South Korean Pro-Golfer.

According to Golf, Kim turned pro back in 2012 when he was just 16-years-old. Prior to winning the 2017 Players Championship, he also won the Wyndham Championship back in 2016. The South Korean golfer was also regarded as the second-youngest winner of the 2015 Cleveland Open.

UK's Ian Poulter used to rank as high as number 5 at the Official World Golf Ranking, now he's currently sitting at number 80 while South Korea's Kim elevates to the number 28 spot. Si Woo Kim is only 21-years-old, based on his recent performance, fans of the sport can expect to hear more from the South Korean golfer from here on out as long as he continues to perform as impressively as he did during the 2017 Players Championship.
