'Pokemon Go' Latest News & Update: Niantic Speculated To Add Pikachu’s Parents, Increase Raids
There has been a rumor going on around "Pokemon Go" game that, on this Mother's Day, the users will witness Pikachu's parents in the gameplay. Although there hasn't been any confirmation or contradiction made by Niantic, the assumptions were sure to arise, given their past participations in other world events.
According to Cinema Blend, the developer of the "Pokemon Go" held a Worldwide Bloom Grass Event last weekend where Team Mystic managed to catch the most grass-type Pokemon. During the four-day event, Team Mystic caught 116 million Grass-type Pokemon as compared to Team Valor's 102 million, whereas Team Instinct managed to catch just 72 million.
That being said, the numbers were still quite low if compared with a week-long Water Festival event, where fans caught a huge 589 million Magikarp. Moreover, another rumored update in "Pokemon Go" is the increase in the strength of Raikou, one of the three Legendary Breasts. The legendary Electric-type Pokemon, who wandered the Johto Region in "Pokemon Gold and Silver," may become the most powerful electric-type Pokemon in "Pokemon Go" with current CP of 3349, Comic Book mentioned. Raikou has the second best attack stat, defense and stamina with only Zapdos, a Legendary bird Pokemon, surpassing his attacking stats, even though Zapdos has a lower CP.
As reported by Express, the gamers can expect more Gym Raids in the next big event although nothing is clear on how they'll work. It is assumed that Niantic is currently working on "Pokemon Go" notification system so that the players can get alerts about the nearby raids. Players may also require feeding their Gym-based Pokemon to prevent them from getting dull. The developers may also limit the number of same species Pokemon to increase Gym diversity, as said by John Hanke, the director of the "Pokemon Go" game.
