'Mockingjay Part 2' Cast Honored At Chinese Theatre; Lawrence Bids Farewell To Katniss Everdeen
The cast of "Mockingjay: Part 2" was hnred at the Chinese theater while Jennifer Lawrence has said her goodbyes to her "Hunger Games" persona, Katniss Everdeen, revealed Harper's Bazaar.
"Mockingjay Part Two" is the last installment of the "Hunger Games", and it is about to be released. The actress revealed that she has bid farewell to her character not once, but twice.
"I feel that I had two endings with Katniss. One when we wrapped the film in Berlin and that was kind of saying goodbye to the movie and then I had a moment with my nephews about a year later," explained Jennifer at Saturday's press conference.
"They played my children in the scene that we shot so it was an amazing closure to this character that I've loved for so many years to have my family there, my blood family, I got to say goodbye to both."
Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Jennifer Lawrence were recently honored at the TCL Chinese Theatre with a handprint ceremony. The three signed their names, placed their hands and feet on the cement, and signed a few autographs after, according to Yahoo.
"I'm going to say to you guys that I'm honored to share it with you. Let's just be friends forever," Hemsworth said turning to his co-stars.
Lawrence has created deep-rooted friendship during her time filming the franchise; during this time she won also, her first Oscar for her role in "Silver Linings Playbook".
Based on the series of books by Suzanne Collins, the first installment was released in 2012. Jennifer had already created buzz in Hollywood, and received an Oscar nod for her performance in "Winter's Bone." cited the Inquisitr.
The success however of the "Hunger Games" was colossal, and catapulted her career into unimaginable heights. The star says there was no preparation for what it brought about.
The cast agrees that the end will not sink in until the final installment comes out; and Jennifer Lawrence is proud of the character she was given to portray.
"Mockingjay Part Two" is released on November 20.
