OCN Follows ‘Goblin’ Trend With Upcoming Grim Reaper Drama, Lee Dong Wook Talks Busy Schedule

South Korean cable network OCN is set to unleash a new series that will tell the story about the mysterious Grim Reaper. Meanwhile, the actor who previously portrayed a grim reaper role, namely Lee Dong Wook, recently gave avid fans a peek at projects that kept him busy after "Goblin."

"Goblin" is considered one of the highly-successful dramas released by tvN this 2017. Featuring a star-studded cast that included Lee Dong Wook, "Train to Busan" actor Gong Yoo, Kim Go Eun, Yoo In Na and more, many fans enjoyed the said series' interesting storyline that depicted the quest of an immortal goblin looking for his destined bride. However, a new OCN drama will attempt to explore the life of a grim reaper.

Titled "Black," the said drama's storyline will revolve around a grim reaper who will live among humans by borrowing the body of a normal person. Similar to "Goblin," the said mysterious character will meet the love of his life who is an ordinary woman. However, a tragic fate appears to await the said character since his love will push him to break the rules that govern his grim reaper role that will result to him being forgotten by everyone in the world.

Meanwhile, a source from the upcoming fantasy thriller drama told Korean news outlet Ilgan Sports, as cited by Soompi, that the said series has been slated for release in the fourth quarter of the year and will replace the suspense drama "Save Me." At this time, casting activities for "Black" has yet to start although many fans are hoping that Lee Dong Wook will reprise his "Goblin" grim reaper role for the OCN drama.

In other news, Lee Dong Wook recently gave avid fans a quick look at his busy schedule. In a V app broadcast held May 12, the "Goblin" actor talked about his fan meeting tour and photo shoot activities, All Kpop reported.

The "My Girl" star added that he has been busy after "Goblin" and even admitted to feeling exhausted given his back-to-back schedules. Lee Dong Wook also thanked his loyal followers for their support and conveyed his happiness in meeting Asian fans during his meet-and-greet events in Singapore other Asian countries.

"Black" is scheduled for release sometime October on OCN, while Lee Dong Wook's "Goblin" aired on tvN from early December 2016 until late January 2017. Watch a clip from "Goblin" below:
