State Visit Of The President Of The People's Republic Of China - Day 3

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are avid supporters of anti-bullying, and charities that promote this. They also help young people who suffer from cyberbullying, according to Mirror.

William and Kate are to meet with executives from Facebook, Twitter, and other social media companies; the technology companies participate as well.

The Royals hope to have a dialogue, and discuss what can be done to protect youngsters more from online harassment.

"The duke definitely wants to meet them and hear what they think can be done, what needs to change and what he can do to help." a royal aide said, cited by The Sunday Times.

Anti-bullying is an issue close to Prince William and Kate Middleton's heart; exhibited during their visit to Harrow College, in northwest London, early October.

The Royal couple marked World Mental Health Day by meeting youth who have battled mental health problems; and spoke with volunteers of the charity, Mind and the anti-stigma campaign "Time to Change".

The event befell World Mental Health Day; where the issue is brought to light around the world.

The Duke and Duchess were moved as the youth spoke about the stigma associated with problems on mental health.

"I have experience of hearing voices and I never really felt there was a positive role model out there." answered Nikki Mattocks, 18, when she was asked by William why she became involved with the campaign.

"When I said that I was hearing voices, I was told that I must be a murderer. For me it is really important for people to know that we are just normal, average people."

Prince William and Kate Middleton have become more and more concerned with the issues of anti-bullying, cyberbullying, and mental health since the birth of their two children; Prince George, two years old and six month old Princess Charlotte.

They may be too young for Facebook, Twitter, and the Internet; but at some point  it will be a permanent fixture in their life.
