‘Descendants Of The Sun’ Actor Kim Min Suk Joins JTBC Drama ‘Age Of Youth 2’
Pre-production activities for the upcoming JTBC drama "Age of Youth 2" is currently underway with showrunners and production team finalizing the series' cast members. Latest casting news revealed the confirmed addition of the "Descendants of the Sun" actor Kim Min Suk.
Kim Min Suk recently signed on to join the upcoming coming-of-age drama "Age of Youth 2." The "Descendants of the Sun" star's casting was confirmed by JTBC on May 11, Thursday. In an announcement, as obtained by Korean news outlet Insight, the cable network revealed that the actor will portray the assistant of the landlady managing the lead characters' share house.
Apart from Kim Suk, other celebrities confirmed to participate in "Age of Youth 2" includes four of the drama's original cast members. Actresses Han Ye Ri, Han Seung Yeon, Park Eun Bin and "Introverted Boss" star Park Hye Soo will reprise their roles as Jin Myung, Ye Eun, Ji Won and Eun Jae, respectively. Showrunners are also expected to introduce another new lead character to join the said four actresses.
Viewers can also look forward to seeing special appearances from Hwa Young in "Age of Youth 2." The Kpop star turned actress was one of the JTBC drama's original cast members and portrayed the character Yi Na. The show's producing director Lee Tae Gon shared in an earlier interview that given the said character's story progression, viewers will only see Yi Na appearing in several episodes, Soompi reported.
Meanwhile, "Age of Youth 2" will mark the second season of the said JTBC drama. Season 1 aired from July 22, 2016 until Aug. 27, 2016 and was one of the said South Korean cable network's critically-acclaimed series. The drama tells the story of five young women living together in a share house as they go through their college years and personal challenges.
Kim Min Suk and his "Age of Youth 2" co-stars are expected to start filming activities in the coming months. The drama is slated for release in late-August on JTBC.
