NVIDIA's GeForce 20-series based Volta GPUs are expected to be launched in May end. The news is circulating after the reports that confirmed Company's brand new GDDR6 memory standard. NVIDIA wanted to introduce high-speed graphic processor and it seems that the company is going to meet its goal by launching NVIDIA Volta GPUs.

In a press release shared by SK Hynix, it became officially that the company's brand new GDDR6 memory standard is on the way to its release. Although some of the reports from WCCFTech claimed that the company wanted to release it in 2018, but with the newly launched AMD high-speed graphic chips, the company decided to launch NVIDIA Volta early in Q1 of 2017.

It is expected that SK Hynix declared the development of high-performance graphic processor, but the maker refrained from discussing the clients and the graphic companies that are going to use its next generation GDDR6 memory modules. Besides, it is expected the NVIDIA Volta's GPUs will be powered by GDDR6 and it means that AMD's Navi GPUs will also be probably powered by the same technology.

The new memory standards of NVIDIA Volta GPUs are optimized to provide a much higher performance output at a voltage of 10% less that its previous generation GDDR5 and GDDR5X. This latest technology will bring a vital surge when it comes to high performance with utmost power efficiency.

Nowadays, the GPU makers are concentrating on offering a high-end graphic processor that are power and cost efficient. The chip makers are inventing all the benefits across all the market segments by capitalizing on the power efficiency gains with all the technologies like GDDR5, GDDR5X, and GDDR6 for NVIDIA Volta GPUs.

Jonghoon Oh, the Head of DRAM Product Development Division stated that "With the introduction of this industry's fastest GDDR6, SK Hynix will actively respond to high-quality, high-performance graphics memory solutions market." he even added that the company would help the clients to enhance their performance of high-end graphic cards.
