World Of K-pop Welcomes Korean Single Debut ‘I Love It’ Of U.S.-Based Joombas Music Songwriter Dean

Universal Music announced last week's release of South Korean singer and songwriter Dean's debut single titled "I Love It," reported Korea Times on Oct. 22.

The new song features Korean rapper Dok2 and was produced by Brandon "B.A.M." Alexander who has previously produced songs for world famous American artists such as including Tyrese, Ne-Yo and Chris Brown.

Top artists in Korea are now collaborating with the 22-year-old R&B singer, including Zion.T and Crush, whom Dean will work with in a new Junggigo single this month, and Block B rapper Zico in Dean's upcoming second song titled "Pout It Up."

Dean's debut in America earlier this year produced collaborations with Mila J, Anderson Paak and Eric Bellinger in their song "I'm Not Sorry."

Dean was a songwriter for Los Angeles-based company Joombas Music, with popular songs including "Growl" by EXO and Justin Bieber's "One Less Lonely Girl."

The Joombas Music Group was established in 2012 by 30-year-old South Korean composer, producer and songwriter Hyuk Shin in Hollywood, New York and Seoul.

The Joombas Music Factory production team was also created by Shin working alongside American songwriter, musician, record producer and CEO of Epic Records L.A. Reid, as well as the South Korean entertainment company SM Entertainment to collaborate with the K-pop music industry.

In 2012, the Joombas Music Factory worite and produced FIESTAR's "We Don't Stop" and "Angel" by EXO, whose debut album became No. 1 in the Korean Gaon Chart and Chinese SINA Chart.

The production team's success in the K-pop music industry rose in 2013 when Shin led the team in producing Shinee's "Dream Girl," 100%'s "Want U Back," F(x)'s Pretty Girl," Girls' Generation's "Romantic St.," VIXX's "Light Me Up" and "G.R.8.U," and Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100's No. 3 "Growl" by EXO.

"Growl" by EXO was the most successful song on South Korean music shows and music charts, with a total of 14 No. 1 trophies since its promotional period.

The Joomba Music Group also hosts its Joombas TV on its online channel where it features guests from the music industry, including Elijah Blake, RAS, Marques Houston and Mat Musto.
