An upcoming action drama series set to air on MBC will feature a star-studded cast that includes Kim Seul Gi. Latest spoiler news teased of the "Splash Splash Love" actress' unique character in the soon-to-be-released series "Protector."

"Protector," with tentative titles of "Watchmen" and "Lookout," will feature an exciting and intriguing storyline about a group of five people who became vigilantes to fight crime. The said MBC production will mark Kim Seul Gi's return to the South Korean drama world after her cameo appearance in the hit mermaid series "Legend of the Blue Sea."

In "Protector," Kim Seul Gi is set to portray a quiet and introverted young woman named Bo Mi. After losing her family in a crime, the said character led a lonely life and avoided contact with other people.

Kim Seul Gi's character in "Protector" then developed a love for technology specifically in using surveillance cameras, Korea Herald reported. Observing the world through the lens of a security camera, Bo Mi will become involved in a group of crime-fighting vigilantes.

Apart from Kim Seul Gi, the upcoming drama "Protector" also stars SHINee's Key, "Fantastic" actor Kim Tae Hoon, Kim Young Kwang and "Valid Love" actress Lee Si Young. Key will play the genius hacker Kyung Soo, while Kim Tae Hoon and Kim Young Kwang will portray the prosecutors Eun Jung and Do Han, respectively. Meanwhile, Lee Si Young's character Soo Ji is a detective who lost her daughter in a crime.

In other news, some of the photo stills released by MBC showed some of Kim Seul Gi's co-stars in action. Several of the images, as obtained by All Kpop, featured SHINee's Key evading capture from three security guards while riding a skateboard inside a building. Another on-set "Protector" photo showed Lee Si Young in the middle of a stunt as she tried to hold onto the sides of a moving van.
