Ji Chang Wook is poised to make his small screen comeback in the romantic comedy suspense series "Suspicious Partner." Recently, the drama's director shared his thoughts about the "Healer" star's acting prowess and personality on set.
"Suspicious Partner" may be one of the highly-anticipated productions from the South Korean network SBS given its lead star Ji Chang Wook. Known for his action roles in the series "Healer" and "The K2," the actor is set to showcase his comedic side in the said SBS series.
Given the actor's good looks and acting talent, Ji Chang Wook impressed the "Suspicious Partner" production team including the SBS drama's director Park Sun Ho. In a recent interview, the filmmaker praised the "Healer" star for his portrayal of the lead character Ji Wook. Describing the said celebrity's acting as authentic, the director also complimented the actor for his intense gaze, TV Report quoted the filmmaker as saying.
The "Suspicious Partner" director even commented on how viewers will soon enjoy Ji Chang Wook's impressive acting when the drama releases its first episode. He also conveyed his happiness over the "Healer" actor's performance on set, citing how the South Korean star was able to depict subtle emotional nuances needed for a scene.
Apart from the actor's acting talent, the filmmaker also complimented Ji Chang Wook's bright personality on set. It appears that the actor has already become friends with his "Suspicious Partner" co-stars. "The K2" actor even helped to ensure that the working environment on set was lively and fun, according to the director.
Meanwhile, a teaser clip for "Suspicious Partner," as obtained by Soompi, featured a quick glimpse at a funny interaction between Ji Chang Wook and Nam Ji Hyun. The promo video showed "The K2" actor receiving a flying kick from the actress while a narration of the iconic poem from "Goblin" played in the background. It appears that the two celebrities' respective characters are set to form a love line in the upcoming drama.
"Suspicious Partner" will premiere on May 10 on SBS. New episodes will be released every Wednesday and Thursday.
