Here is a direct link to the final, for all my impatient readers. The best DOTA 2 teams in the world, have gathered in Kiev for the final. The 16 best teams in the world are currently fighting for the 3$ million grand prize. The competition has been on the edge of excitement for the past few days, with twelve of the teams already eliminated. Now, there are only 4 teams left in the competition, each battling for the final prize of 1$ million.
The competition will eliminate two of the teams from the lot of 4, and only the best two teams will get a chance to fight the final battle. The winner will walk away with the grand prize of 1$ million.
The final was streamed online, meaning everybody had the chance to watch it on YouTube. In case you have missed it, there is a link below which will allow you to see the final free of cost.
DOTA 2, Kiev Major finale - The stream consists of the two semifinals that were played before the final in order to determine the finalists. The first semifinal of the day was a close one and CIS team Virtus.Pro managed to defeat the Chinese team Invictus Gaming. This came as a surprise as the Chinese team had been the tournament favorites all along, after their recent victory in the DOTA Asia Championship, a few weeks before the finale.
The second semifinal saw the American team, Evil Geniuses battle the European team and the current defending Major Champions OG.
The final match was a best of five round: This meant that the final could have lasted anywhere from three to six hours of game-play. The final match had a single elimination bracket, which in turn means that no team had any kind of advantage in the finale of the tournament.
Our heartiest congratulations to Team OG for winning the final and the tournament.
