The HBO TV adaptation of George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novels is known to kill off many of its characters, regardless whether they played major or minor roles in the series. Recently, speculations are rife that a dead character might mirror Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) epic resurrection in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7.

Storyline details about the HBO's "Game of Thrones" Season 7 have been sparse, although several reports and fan sites shared interesting teaser updates about the show. One of the popular fan theories revolved around Hodor (Kristian Nairn) who died trying to protect Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) from a massive wright attack in the show's earlier season.

The said fan theory indicated that Hodor might return to the land of the living in the "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Similar to how Jon Snow came back to life, the said character might also do the same although not as a human being but as a wright. Kristian Nairn recently shared his thoughts about the said theory where he shared that he would enjoy playing an evil version of Hodor.

In an interview with Belfast Telegraph, the actor commented that while he would appreciate reprising his role in the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7, it will also be "nice" to leave Hodor's end story as is in the HBO show. However, he jokingly speculated that Hodor may not be dead but "roaming around the countryside eating berries like a grizzly bear."

When asked whether Hodor did turn into a White Walker and might appear in "Game of Thrones" Season 7, Nairn declined to give a concrete answer. He explained, "I'm just going to say no but I might be lying ... I have let things slip before by accident and I've learnt the hard way."

In other news, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau gave an interesting interview with Huffington Post where he talked about the many spoilers and alleged storyline leaks for the upcoming "Game of Thrones" Season 7. He mentioned that some of the spoiler news were true, however, it gets lost in the thousands of speculative and untrue reports about the HBO show's plot.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will premiere on July 16 on HBO. Watch a teaser clip below:
