LG G6 Latest News & Update: Near Bezel-Free With 13MP Dual Rear Cam, 4GB RAM; Still Available At $805
LG G6 is the new flagship smartphone that recently hit the Indian market, and it is now up for pre-order. Latest reports indicate the new smartphone's price and other details.
LG G6 Will Go On Sale Starting April 29
The LG G6 will reportedly have a starting price tag of $805, and will go on sale beginning April 29. However, the said date only suggest as to when the stock shall be available and not as in-store availability, which would further mean that LG could bypass Samsung in India by offering LG G6 ahead of Galaxy S8's May 5 release. Meantime, pre-orders for G6 can be made through LG India's official website.
LG G6, meanwhile, comes with an almost bezel-free form factor with an 18:9 aspect ratio and features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner under the dual camera setup. Furthermore, the new flagship is also known as the first smartphone to support Dolby Vision.
Additionally, LG G6 is sporting a wide-angle 13MP dual rear camera system that comes with two 13MP sensors - one for regular shots with OIS 2.0 and 71-degree lens while the other one is for the wide-angle shots with f-2.4 aperture and 125-degree lens. Aside from these, there is also a 5MP wide-angle lens with f-2.2 aperture and 100-degree lens.
LG G6 is packed with a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. The new flagship has 32-64GB of expandable internal storage via a microSD card slot, and comes as well with a removable 3,300mAH battery with a fast charging support, Know Techie reported.
LG G6 Battery Life Test Reveals Consistent Failure
The new LG G6 is expected to have a decent battery performance, considering its larger cell that normally results to a better performance. However, the latest battery test revealed otherwise.
Based on the battery life test, LG G6 was consistently failing to make it through a whole day with no top up. According to reports, the battery had gone from 100 percent down to 65 percent after a couple of hours with only Snapchat and Spotify apps in use, Know Your Mobile reported.
