‘Shadowhunters’ Season 2 Latest Promo Teases Tense Clary-Jace Moments, Sebastian’s Introduction
When "Shadowhunters" Season 2 returns to the small screens, avid viewers will witness Clary's (Katherine McNamara) continued efforts to discover her true abilities and her role in the impending war. The Freeform series' latest promo clip provided a glimpse of the new character Sebastian (Will Tudor), as well as Jace's (Dominic Sherwood) tense interactions with Clary and her boyfriend Simon (Alberto Rosende).
"Shadowhunters" Season 2 is set to introduce one of the pivotal characters from Cassandra Clare's "Mortal Instruments" books. Sebastian made his first appearance in the said teaser video, as obtained by TVLine. It appears that Isabelle (Emeraude Toubia) might be among the first characters who will meet Sebastian.
After Isabelle mentioned how she has never seen the said character at the Institute before, the scene in the said "Shadowhunters" Season 2 promo clip switched to a shot of the blonde-haired Sebastian unveiling his name. Other scenes in the teaser also showcased Clary and her friends ongoing battle with Valentine (Alan Van Sprang).
However, it appears that Valentine will get captured by Clary and her team. The "Shadowhunters" Season 2 promo featured the said villain strapped to a chair with Jace landing a strong punch on his face, while Clary looked on in disbelief.
Viewers can also look forward to tense moments between Jace, Clary, and Simon in the upcoming second half of "Shadowhunters" Season 2. Clary and Simon will remain a strong couple in upcoming episodes, however, Jace will continue to have romantic feelings for his alleged sister. A scene in the said promo clip even showed Valentine warning Jace that his love for Clary will harm him in the end.
In other news, Freeform recently greenlighted the third season run of "Shadowhunters." The announcement was made by the show's cast members during a Facebook Live session, according to Deadline.
