‘Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi’ Trailer Dominate Social Media, Fans Questioned Changes On Kylo Ren Scar
The "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" is coming this Christmas season and the new teaser trailer video recently released. The trailer video is indeed dominating the social media and the internet, as what we expected, and there is one thing some fans noticed in the video.
If you already watch the latest "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" trailer, you will notice, too, that Kylo Ren's scar on the face seems slightly different from what we see in the last scenes of the "Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens" last year. Seems like its slightly move to his right eye.
On the "Star Wars Episode 7," in the battle between Rey and Kylo Ren, Rey managed to hit Kylo's face, leaving a long scar on his face, from forehead down to his nose and to his right cheek. But on the latest "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" trailer, Kylo's scar is now on his right eye down to his cheek.
This issue has been in the social media lately, making more fans being curious about it. However, Rian Johnson, director of the "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" honestly answered this question, saying it is his decision to change Kylo Ren's scar.
"It was my decision to slightly adjust the scar of Kylo Ren in the new movie (Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi), and that was my justification." Rian Johnson also added, "It honestly looked goofy running straight up the bridge of his nose."
Somehow, the new scar of Kylo Ren in the "Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi" looks like cooler than the first one. Johnson justification, saying it is way cooler is reasonably acceptable, but we can't avoid negative thoughts from the perfectionist fans about these changes.
