Secret’s Ji Eun, ‘Oh My Venus’ Actor Sung Hoon Display Amazing Chemistry In ‘My Secret Romance’
The South Korean cable channel OCN recently released the first episode of its first Monday-Tuesday drama titled "My Secret Romance." With Sung Hoon and Secret's Ji Eun portraying the lead characters in the said series, viewers can expect to see sweet and funny interactions between the two stars.
"My Secret Romance" marked OCN's first foray into a romance genre series. With new episodes set for release every Monday and Tuesday, the drama boasts of the first on-screen pairing between Secret's Ji Eun and the "Oh My Venus" actor Sung Hoon.
Secret's Ji Eun portrays Yoo Mi, a young woman who dreams of becoming a nutritionist but is beset with various problems such as her mother remarrying for the second time, challenges passing her cooking academy degree, as well as job-hunting difficulties. Described as a person with a bright personality, the said "My Secret Romance" female protagonist may appear cheerful but has a conservative approach to dating.
Yoo Mi then meets Sung Hoon's character Jin Wook who is a spoiled rich young man and party animal whose father owns a conglomerate with various businesses in the hotel, food and nutrition industry. The two characters' fate gets intertwined in "My Secret Romance" when Yoo Mi and Jin Wook meet at a Gangwon Province resort.
Following a series of accidents, the two ended up spending an afternoon at a beach and having a one-night stand which was featured in the first episode of "My Secret Romance." Three years after the incident, Yoo Mi and Sung Hoon's paths crossed again when the now nutritionist finds herself working at the cafeteria of the rich heir turned serious businessman's nutritional company.
Meanwhile, avid K-drama lovers can expect to see the amazing chemistry between Secret's Ji Eun and Sung Hoon in "My Secret Romance." The drama's director told local reporters that the OCN series' storyline will revolve around Yoo Mi and Sung Hoon's romance, Korea Herald quoted the filmmaker as saying.
In other news, the said series was picked up by Warner Bros. and will be aired simultaneously on the online streaming service Drama Fever. The said site was previously acquired by Warner Bros. and "My Secret Romance" will serve as the first time that the said company invested in a South Korean drama, Yonhap News reported.
