'The Originals' Season 4 Spoilers: Will Klaus And Marcel Be Reluctant Allies To Defeat New Villain?

Could Klaus and Marcel be forming a reluctant alliance after the last episode of "The Originals" Season 4? It may be so when both the sire and his "son" are both caught in Dark Magic cast by The Hollow.

In "The Originals" Season 4 Episode 5 entitled "I Hear You Knocking" Klaus and Marcel were the victims of Dark magic. They were plagued by a malevolent haunting which pitted them against each other.

In "The Originals" Season 4 Episode 5, it was Freya who proved to be the key to ridding Klaus of the "infection" but she was forced to risk her own life to save Klaus. There was also a breakthrough moment with Keelin when she was forced to make a choice between helping Freya survive or ridding herself of any further connections with the Mikaelsons.

In the upcoming episode of "The Originals" Season 4 entitled "Bag of Cobras", Hayley will find a connection between her parents' death that is expected to cause further complications in their already growing family problems. Klaus will also uncover The Hollows connection to a mysterious new villain that proves to be a threat to the Mikaelsons. Vincent is expected to be of help when he uses his magic to root out the new villain, SpoilerTV reported.

Prior to the release of "The Originals" Season 4, it was reported that the Mikaelsons and company will be faced with a new powerful evil that looms on the horizon. Series creator Julie Plec explained in a Hollywood Reporter interview that they are going darker this season but will maintain the same family dynamic that makes the show a great watch.

"There is a very insidious and dark element that exists in the alleys and the gutters of New Orleans that has a point of view about what it wants out of New Orleans," she said about "The Originals" Season 4. "And it is in deep conflict with the health and protection of the original family and Hope Mikaelson herself."

Could this be the mysterious force that Plec was talking about and would Klaus need to work with Marcel to rid their city of an even bigger threat? The Originals Season 4 Episode 6 "Bag of Bones" airs April 28 on The CW.
