'Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi' Sizzler Reel Details Bared; Episode IX Screenplay Draft Done

The Star Wars Celebration in Orlando is just days away and fans can't wait to see the highly anticipated trailer for "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi." Contrary to what is expected at the event, faithfuls of the galaxy far, far away will be treated to a full trailer of the upcoming film instead of the once believed teaser tidbit.

Both Disney and Lucasfilms are doing a pretty good job in keeping the sizzler reel under wraps. Fans have been musing about it for quite some time now as to what will be shown to them at the big Star Wars gathering in Orlando. The hype even stepped up a notch when a teaser for "The Last Jedi" has been shown to investors just recently and followed by a deluge of tweets from reporters who also witnessed the clip, Screen Rant reported.

In line with these, alleged screenshots from "The Last Jedi" trailer are getting quite rife online and has featured some spy shots of Rey (Daisy Ridley), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), a planet named Crait, and B-1 starfighters in an attack formation. It also featured a shot of a massive ship's innards where it is believed that the damaged X-Wing scene took place.

Among the mentioned purported leaks, images of both Rey and Luke could be the juiciest among them as the first shot shows Rey holding a lit up lightsaber while the other shows the former wearing the same garb as Luke's. However, such leaks should be deemed inconclusive and taken with pinches of salt.

Moreover, it was already made known over the weekend that an initial draft for "Star Wars Episode IX" has been finished and is speculated to begin filming in July, MovieWeb has learned. It also assured fans that Carrie Fisher's role as General Leia won't come back as CGI albeit the fact that it was hinted before that her role will have a key participation in the final part of the third film trilogy.
