‘Grey's Anatomy’ Season 13 Spoilers: Kelly McCreary Teases Maggie's Reaction To Meredith-Nathan Romance

‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 14 Spoilers, Possible Airdate: What’s Next For Meredith and Nathan

Avid viewers of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 have been preparing themselves for the eventual unveiling of Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Nathan's (Martin Henderson) romance that may devastate Maggie (Kelly McCreary). However, the expected fall-out from the said revelation will not be as bad as what some fans would have thought it to be.

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 featured several plot lines that centered on the animosity between characters or the growing romance between fellow doctors. A new couple also emerged in recent episodes of the long-running ABC medical series, specifically Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Eliza (Marika Dominczyk). The show even has a brewing love triangle between Maggie, Nathan and Meredith.

Maggie has a crush on Nathan, while the latter appears oblivious to the said doctor's feelings and instead shown interest in Meredith. The widow and the handsome doctor even shared a passionate night together in an earlier episode of the ABC show although Meredith has since tried to keep her distance from Nathan. However, Maggie will learn of her sister and her crush's romance in an upcoming episode of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13.

In an interview with TVLine, Kelly McCreary shared that the revelation will not sever Maggie and Meredith's relationship. The actress mentioned that Maggie will feel hurt about the situation but it will also deepen her bond with her half-sister Meredith in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13.

Given the recent death of Maggie's mom Diane (LaTanya Richardson Jackson), as shown in the recent "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 episode 19, the experience also changed the said doctor's outlook in life. Kelly McCreary shared in a separate interview with the same news site that Maggie will be looking for a different kind of relationship or partnership. The actress explained, "[Diane's death gave] her a different perspective on the value of having a partner."

In other news, the upcoming "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 episode 20 will have Meredith and Nathan closely reexamining their relationship. Titled "In the Air Tonight," the two doctors will be forced to talk about their feelings when both are stuck as seat mates on an exciting and scary flight, according to episode spoilers posted on Spoilers Guide.
