After months of teasing and speculations, Microsoft finally reveals the Xbox Project Scorpio, which they said that the most powerful gaming console the company ever built. The revelations were reported by the Eurogamer's Digital Foundry recently this week.

The Microsoft Xbox Project Scorpio specs are indeed revealed, but there still some unanswered questions left to the fans. The tech and power were unveiled, however, it is still far to completely judge the true power and performance of the upcoming console.

According to the source, the Xbox Project Scorpio hits the 6 teraflop target set for it as E3 last year, it is all because of the custom GPU that has been designed for optimal performance on the new game engines. This runs at an unprecedentedly high clock speed for a console.

The Xbox Project Scorpio is a combination of smart design and powerful internal features. The GPU is paired with 12GB of fast GDDR5 memory and a custom eight-core CPU. The outer features, on the other hand, is a compact body with integrated power supply and, for a console, state-of-the-art cooling.

The Eurogamers claim that they witness a "Forza Motorsport" demo running on the Xbox Project Scorpio at 4K resolution, hitting 60 frames per second. The reports suggesting that the console will hit its native 4K target across a range of content, with power to spare to spend on other visual improvements.

Last year, speculations said that the Xbox Project Scorpio is more powerful than the PlayStation 4 Pro. To prove the rumors, here is the specs comparison between the two leading consoles: Scorpio's CPU has 8 custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz while the PS4 Pro has 8 Jaguar cores clocked at 2.1GHz, Scorpio's GPU is 40 customized compute units at 1172MHz, PS4 Pro is a 36 improved GCN compute units at 911MHz.

When about the memory size, Xbox Project Scorpio is having 326GB of Memory Bandwidth and 1TB of Hard Drive. The console will be released this 2017.
