‘iZombie’ Season 3 Spoilers: Showrunner Talks Liv-Major Relationship, Team Z Dynamics, Non-Villain Vivian
Avid viewers of the TV series "iZombie" Season 3 are in for a wild ride as upcoming episodes will tackle various issues from romantic interests, an impending unveiling of zombies and more. Recently, showrunner Rob Thomas shared his thoughts about the show's new season, Liv (Rose McIver) and Major's (Robert Buckley) relationship and some of the series' interesting storylines.
The premiere episode of "iZombie" Season 3 that aired on April 4 featured the emergence of a new organization named Fillmore Graves headed by tough lady Vivian (Andrea Savage). Similar to Liv, the said character is a zombie who organized a private zombie army and created a special community where undead families and individuals can thrive and survive.
However, Vivian's role as the big bad villain in "iZombie" Season 3 is still unclear. Showrunner Rob Thomas told TV Guide that the said character's part in the anticipated zombie discovery day, dubbed zombie D-Day, will be the "big mystery of the season." Major may have already shown his support for Vivian's zombie cause, however, Liv will remain apprehensive about her motives.
The showrunner also commented on Liv and Major's relationship in "iZombie" Season 3. Despite their earlier romance, the two characters will not rekindle their failed relationship but will remain good friends. The former couple will even find potential new love interests in upcoming episodes, according to Rob Thomas.
Meanwhile, avid viewers can expect to see Liv, Clive (Malcolm Goodwin), Ravi (Rahul Kohli) and Major working better together. Dubbed Team Z, the police detective along with his zombie partner Liv and her cohorts will function more efficiently in "iZombie" Season 3 given Clive's introduction to the undead world. Goodwin told TVLine that the said situation will even bring Liv and Clive closer to each other.
