Samsung has just announced Samsung Galaxy S8 with innovative accessories like Gear VR. Samsung Gear VR was first introduced at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, but now we have a date and a price. The cool gear is available at $129 and will be shipped on April 21. It is even paired with a headset.

The Samsung Gear VR controller resembles a pared-down version of the HTC Vive remote or a slightly more powerful than Google Daydream. On the front of a trackpad, there are few clickable buttons including home, back, and volume buttons. And on the rear, there is a trigger button and inside of it, there is an accelerometer, gyro meter, and magnetic sensor.

The Samsung Gear VR is powered by two AAA batteries which will provide 40 days of battery life for two hours of daily use. The user can also hold the controller with a strap which appears to be only different from the previous Gear VR. The controller is compatible with older version of the headset so that the users can experience the virtual reality from their old Smartphone too.

It is about time Samsung introduced an official controller. The Samsung Gear VR has some of the best immersive experiences outside of the Rift and Vive. The controller is relying on a small touchpad on the side of the headset which is clumsy and untidy. The users can also use Bluetooth controller, but VR often works better with motion controls.

On the other hand, Google has provided a better VR experience through its Daydream. The company is offering Google Daydream at the affordable price with a default controller. The users don't have to buy the controller additionally to enhance the VR experience. Besides, there are many games that required too many button presses to work properly with a single remote. So the users do not have to rely on traditional Bluetooth controllers for playing some title games.
