According to the Bangtan Boys' label that they believe the threats is a bad joke from the group's haters. However, they will not dismiss these intimidating statements in social media and they will take the necessary actions to ensure the group's safety.
BTS has been preoccupied with their series of concerts in North America. While anticipating for the next leg of the Bangtan Boys tour, the group's fans, ARMY, discovered a series of alarming death threats targeting BTS member Jimin. ARMY was quick to take action by trending #ArmysWillProtectJimin and warn the authorities about an anti-fan who has been posting the Tweets.
Given the gravity of the situation, BTS label Big Hit Entertainment came up with an official statement to reassure fans. "We believe that it is a joke by an anti-fan, but we are taking measures just to be sure. We are working with the local staff and police to enhance the security."
BTS is going to hold a concert at Anaheim's Honda Center in California and authorities promise they will heighten security during the event. According to a post in SBS, Honda Center promised to increase the security in the area. The venue's team knows of the death threats and they know what is going on online.
The troll has been posting tweets showing pictures of two guns, a dead animal, and a bleeding hand. Soompi reported that the account of the person behind those tweets was already suspended. This did not stop the contents of the post to go viral though and ARMY took note of these threats and the fan group is intent on preventing more negative publicity for BTS and for Jimin. Hopefully, ARMY and the rest of the Bangtan Boys fanbase feel reassured after their label and the authorities have been alerted about the death threats.
