BTS Jimin has been receiving death threats in social media from anti-fans and the group's loyalists, A.R.M.Y., are determined to protect the idol. The death threats targeting Bangtan Boys member Jimin became publicized when A.R.M.Y. warned BTS and Big Hit Entertainment about them. The group's fans agreed to trend #ArmysWillProtectJimin" on Twitter and this was met with different reactions.

While it's true that there are death threats targeting BTS member Jimin in social media, some believe ARMY's decision to make a big deal out of the threats had a negative impact. Koreaboo reported several rumors with false truths and Photoshopped pictures. These threats supposedly started when it was publicized that the Bangtan Boys harassed a Brazilian fan sexually. These false rumors supposedly originated fromSelja whose Twitter account @AinsleyPaisley was suspended too. These stories were just released to ruin the group's reputation.

Although blame is being placed on the user Selja, there's proof that another user AntiBTSAnti is the one who sent death threats to BTS member Jimin. Aside from the Tweets, there is no other verification if threats were issued. It seems, however, that the people in charge of the Bangtan Boys concerts were made aware of these threats. There were reports that Honda Center as well as the Anaheim Police Department, and Los Angeles Police Department already received information on these death threats.

According to the Tweets, AntiBTSAnti plans to kill BTS Jimin on April 1 together with his two accomplices. Back in 2015, the group canceled an event after a death threat which supposedly targeted BTS member Rap Monster. While the Tweet could just be another false alarm, fans want to make authorities aware since the Bangtan Boys are going to hold a concert in California on April 1 and 2. BTS fans, ARMY, is already spreading the information on their page to deny negative rumors about Jimin and encourage members to report people spreading hate to Twitter right away.
