Microsoft Surface Book 2 is rumored to be released alongside the huge Windows 10 upgrade. However, the upcoming device may be a lot more inflexible compared to its predecessor. Nevertheless, the next-generation Surface Book 2 is believed to unveil sooner than expected.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 Is Coming With A New Design. The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is now in production and will likely be unveiled within the next few weeks. According to reports, is now working at finishing the preparation for the next-gen Surface Book, as it aims to have it launched sooner than everyone has thought.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 will reportedly feature a notable design change, as Microsoft is set to make new device a standalone laptop. As previously reported, the original device included a detachable screen, which could double as a tablet. But based on latest reports, the tech giant seems to be turning away from this feature and chooses instead a classic clamshell design.

However, the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 will retain its 13.5-inch display and its magnesium-alloy body. Meantime, Microsoft is also rumored to be working on a new Surface Pro version, Express reported.

Microsoft Surface Book Receives Major Power Boost. Although the new Surface Book is relatively similar to most of the premium models in the market today, there is, however, one huge difference. According to reports, it will bring a largely powerful Intel 17 Skylake processor, paired with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. However, the new edition also comes with a discrete GPU, which means slightly less powerful in graphical performance.

Microsoft Surface Book, meantime, will be available at $2,999, but those who will be interested to purchase the new variant will have to wait since it is currently out of stock. Meanwhile, the first Surface Book was unveiled in October 2015, marking the first time for Microsoft to build its own laptop device, Tech Radar reported. Watch Microsoft Surface Book 2 here:
