According to the official synopsis, a new discovery within the conspiracy compels the circle to tighten. Elsewhere, tensions between Emily and Aaron are at an all time high due to the suspicions in the White House.
Meanwhile, Agent Wells has a new lead and she is closer to the truth.
In a recent interview with TV Guide, Jeff Melvoin and David Guggenheim talked about Wells and the conspiracy.
When asked if fans would get some answers regarding the conspiracy in the second half, Melvoin assured that in "Designated Survivor" Season 1B episodes, they will head towards a conclusion.
"There's very much a plan in place, and like Jeff said, we're building to where we think is a very exciting and surprising and satisfying conclusion. I think the last thing we want is to mess around with the audience and promise them answers but never deliver, I don't like when shows do that," Guggenheim told TV Guide.
Guggenheim also stated that episodes 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 of "Designated Survivors" Season 1 are some of the best they have made. He teased that if the fans liked the first half, there is no way they can miss out on the second half.
