‘Game of Thrones’ Season 7, episode 1 premiere date leaked: Episode 1 premieres in July?
Winter is coming this year and it is coming in July. "Game of Thrones" Season 7, episode 1 release has been reportedly leaked. Actor Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos in the show, has stated that the show is not set to return until July this year.
HBO has been secretive about revealing the premiere dates of "Game of Thrones" seasons before a particular date decided by the network. However, this time, an actor might have spoiled it for HBO.
While speaking with the Independent, Cunningham teased that "Game of Thrones" was supposed to release Season 7 in April worldwide, but it has been postponed. Episode 1 of the new season is likely to premiere in July 2017.
"I've been disappointing various people around the world because it was meant to come out in April. It's July now, I think. There's going to be a launch and something special happening this year for the premiere. The bad news is, there will only be seven episodes and the [filming for the] final season starts again as far as I know in September," Cunningham said about "Game of Thrones" Season 7 premiere date.
Meanwhile, 19 Major League Baseball teams are set to participate with HBO in a cross-promotional event to promote the network's hit series "Game of Thrones."
"We've had a longstanding partnership with HBO," said Noah Garden, MLB's EVP of Business. The network's HBO Now streaming service is powered BAMTech technology platform of MLB.
MLB and HBO will split revenues, noted Deadline, however, the exact financial numbers are not revealed. The promotions for "Game of Thrones" will not happen during the All-Star Games, but will showcase in the apps and digital properties of MLB.
The new episodes of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be introduced in the middle of the baseball season.
