North Korea Executed 5 Deputy Minister-Level Officials; A Continuing Tension Between Neighbors?
Recently, South Korean lawmakers claimed that five North Korean officials have been executed by the anti-aircraft guns. The five North Korean officials are working under the deputy minister who worked under the recently fired state security chief Kim Won-hong. The officials have been executed because of developing false reports to the North Koreans leader Kim Jong-un.
The brief details explored by South Korea's National Intelligence Service also called as NIS determined that the state security chief Kim Won-hong is in house arrest situation. After concluding an investigation, more than five North Koreans deputy minister-level officials who had worked under him have been executed, stated by South Korean lawmaker Kim Byung-kee.
According to CNN, a number of executions of working-level officials could happen as the investigation carries on further. The State Security Ministry of North Koreans is well known for its intelligence service. The agency also runs its prison camps and even conducts the domestic surveillance of party workers and ordinary citizens.
Another South Korean lawmaker Lee Cheol-woo added that it is the Ministry which can easily control and monitors the public and party officials. After the investigations, it is detected that the false reports were created for the leader Kim Jong-un, as per US Today.
The leader Kim Jong-un enraged with these findings and held Kim Won-hong in a house arrest and ordered the execution of his 5 people. The North Koreans dictator also ordered to remove the statue of his father and predecessor, Kim Jong II from the Ministry's ground as a kind of punishment, according to CNN. He stated that "Kim Jong-un ordered the statue of Kim Jong Il to be removed from the National Defense Ministry because they don't deserve to have the statue."
Indeed, the Pyongyang is denying the existence of North Koreans prison camps, the US Treasury statement recorded that Kim Won-hong directed and managed inhuman activities such as beatings, forced abortions, forced starvation, infanticide and sexual assault.
