‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Spoilers: Latest Clip Unveils Stefan, Caroline’s Wedding [WATCH]
With only two episodes left before "The Vampire Diaries" closes its final chapter, beloved characters of the CW supernatural series will need to battle an old enemy. Latest spoiler news teased of Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline's (Candice King) wedding day but the said ceremony will double up as a ruse to draw the said villain back to Mystic Falls.
The penultimate episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will feature a long-awaited and joyous event with Stefan and Caroline finally saying "I Do" in a romantic wedding. The latest promo clip for the said episode, posted on TV Guide, featured Caroline walking down the aisle in a gorgeous bridal gown while Stefan waited at the altar with Damon (Ian Salvatore) standing behind him.
Despite the happy occasion, the event will likely go awry since it is part of a plan to lure Katherine out from Hell and back to Mystic Falls. With Cade's (Wole Parks) demise in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 episode 14, the Salvatore brothers' old foe became the new ruler of Hell.
Meanwhile, a scene in the said promo clip featured Damon's explanation that Stefan and Caroline's wedding will push Katherine to reveal herself. Given the said character's obsession with Stefan, she will not be able to resist destroying the celebration's happy mood.
However, the Steroline couple may be faced with a bigger threat than they imagined. The said clip teased scenes of an explosion with Caroline as one of its potential victims.
Viewers can also expect to see another familiar face in the upcoming "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 episode 15. Titled "We're Planning a June Wedding," Kelly (Melinda Clarke) will return to Mystic Falls to crash Stefan and Caroline's wedding.
Photo stills posted on Entertainment Weekly revealed Kelly's appearance during the Steroline couple's wedding reception. She will even have a tense discussion with her son Matt (Zach Roerig) and Damon at the event.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 episode 15 will be released on March 3 on the CW. The show's succeeding episode will serve as the series finale to be aired on March 10.
