"No confirmation of a third season so far (if there is going to be one it will likely be announced in the next few days, but I'm doubtful it will happen at all given the relatively poor reception towards the anime and how much it deviated from the manga)," user SupaMika has shared in the Reeddit page exclusively made for the "Tokyo Ghoul" anime series. True enough, Studio Pierrot has remained tightlipped on the details about the "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3, which is causing fans to speculate that it might be cancelled already.

As "Tokyo Ghoul" Season 3 cancellation rumors start to make rounds, there are also some avid fans who think that a movie would be made as replacement for the third installment.
