With the impending reveal of Samsung's latest Android smartphones, many tech lovers have been looking forward to learning more about the said mobile units. Recently, the specifications of the new Samsung Galaxy S8+ and the Samsung Galaxy S8 were leaked.
The South Korean tech giant Samsung is hoping to wow consumers and critics with its latest line of Samsung Galaxy mobile phones. Given the disastrous launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note S7, the company is looking to recover from the said incident with the release of two units namely the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and the Samsung Galaxy S8.
A source leaked the two Android smartphones' specifications to TechnoBuffalo that revealed most of the said units' features. The Samsung Galaxy S8 will come with a 4GB RAM, as well as a 64GB memory that can be expanded with an external microSD card. With an IP68 dust and water resistant body, the said 4G LTE capable unit will also feature a 12MP dual pixel camera, an 8MP front camera, an Iris scanner and a 5.8-inch QUAD HD+ Super AMOLED display.
Apart from the expected Android operating system, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also include Samsung Pay and mobile security with the Samsung Knox. Earphones tuned by AKG, as well as the smartphone's wireless charging capability round out the latest leaked specification news for the said unit.
Missing from the said report is the flagship phone's processor and battery details. However, earlier speculations hinted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 might come with a battery size of more than 3,000mAh including a Snapdragon 835 chip.
Meanwhile, the leaked specifications for the Samsung Galaxy S8+ also has contained similar details. The only disparity between the two upcoming Android smartphones would be its screen size with the S8+ having a 6.2-inch QUAD HD+ Super AMOLED display.
For avid Samsung fans looking for a slightly larger unit, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ would be a perfect choice. Moreover, unlike some of the competitor smartphone brands, the upcoming two units' have similar camera features and other specifications.
In other news, Samsung is expected to unveil its new Galaxy S8 line during an event in New York on March 29, Wednesday. A top level official from the South Korean tech company told ETNews that the new Samsung Galaxy S8 units will be launched on April 21, Friday.
The said source further revealed that Samsung initially planned to release the company's new Android smartphone units in South Korea at an earlier timeframe than its international launch. However, given challenges in supplies and other factors, it was moved to the same day as its global release date.
