Lee Min-Ho Receives National Award For Improving Korea's World Image; To Release International Album In March

Lee Min-Ho has been awarded for raising the brand image of South Korea. The 29-year old Korean actor is also the male lead star of the hit SBS fantasy series "The Legend of the Blue Sea."

On Feb. 22, Lee was awarded the grand prize during the 2017 National Brand Awards held at the National Assembly Hall in Seoul, Korea. According to reports, Lee Min-Ho won the prize in the cultural sector for raising Korea, including the Korean wave to the world with his work. During his acceptance speech, the Korean star expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who helped him become one of the most popular personalities in the country.

Lee Min-Ho's award did not come as a surprise, considering his numerous projects and endorsements in the past. Meantime, the actor organized two events over the weekend for his fans on Feb. 18 and 19 at the Kyung Hee University, where he was reported to have serenaded his more than 6,000 fans with his new single "Always." The photos from the two-day event have been widely shared on Facebook, Morung Express reported.

Meanwhile, Lee Min-Ho will reportedly release an international album in March. According to his agency, this is good news for the fans, considering that it is not common for an actor with no official plan to pursue a singing career, but is given a chance to release an international album.

With the new single "Always by Lee Min-Ho," the Korean star was able to extend his gratitude and joy to his fans who have been supportive throughout his decade-long career. Incidentally, a number of released tributes to Lee Min-Ho's fans were reported in 2013 to 2015.
